Affair: Anniversary Dinner for Two

Ayana and Kenny celebrated their two year anniversary in style a the Garrett Jacobs Mansion, historic home located in the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. The Engineers Club’s glamorous and gilded interior décor served as an amazing backdrop to celebrate their special day. They started their wedding anniversary day with a light brunch at the venue. Afterwards, Savvy Selebrations set-up a navy, gold and coral colored tablescape layered with a lot of confections and champagne to honor this special occasion. Marlon Ming was onsite to photograph every moment as a keepsake for the couple.

Affair: Valentine's Day Dinner for Couples
Theme: Eat. Pray. Love

In the movie the main character Liz goes to Italy to eat, India to pray, and Bali for love. For this Valentine’s theme we decided to stay in Italy and designed an event focused on romance, food and good company.

Italy is the country of love, right? So why not celebrate the textures, the wine and the food at an intimate dinner party. To kick-off the event, we created these invites to give guests a hint of what to expect.

The hosts of this event invited close friends to join in the fun. The four course menu was executed by the guests—in fact each couple was responsible for preparing a portion of the meal and there were fun, flirting Valentine’s Day themed games played throughout the evening.

It was a great event all around where guests got to eat great food, pray over a wonderfully prepared meal with close friends and share this special night with their love.

Affair: Cupcakes, Cocktails and Conversation

This event was a casual open house style event for friends and family. The initial inspiration was the dining room chandelier—upscale yet simple.

We immediately knew we could use the chandelier as a key design element throughout the event design and décor. Since it was a summer party we choose bright pink and green with compliments of black and white since it was an evening cocktail style affair.

This adults-only desserts and cocktail affair featured dessert inspired cocktails and alcohol infused cupcakes

The dessert table was centered under the dining room chandelier (our inspiration). We purchased decorative cupcake towers adorned with crystals to anchor the table. The table was filled with a variety of cupcakes from Lovella Cupcakes and decorated cookies from The Cookie Jar.
